ISO/TS 14067:2013 specifies principles, requirements and guidelines for the quantification and communication of the carbon footprint of a product (CFP), based on International Standards on life cycle assessment (ISO 14040 and ISO 14044) for quantification and on environmental labels and declarations (ISO 14020, ISO 14024 and ISO 14025) for communication.
Requirements and guidelines for the quantification and communication of a partial carbon footprint of a product (partial CFP) are also provided.
ISO/TS 14067:2013 is applicable to CFP studies and different options for CFP communication based on the results of such studies.
Where the results of a CFP study are reported according to ISO/TS 14067:2013, procedures are provided to support both transparency and credibility and also to allow for informed choices.
ISO/TS 14067:2013 also provides for the development of CFP-product category rules (CFP-PCR), or the adoption of product category rules (PCR) that have been developed in accordance with ISO 14025 and that are consistent with ISO/TS 14067:2013.
ISO/TS 14067:2013 addresses only one impact category: climate change.
Offsetting is outside of the scope of ISO/TS 14067:2013.

Diese Technische Spezifikation legt Anforderungen an sowie Grundsätze und Leitlinien für die Quantifizierung und die Kommunikation des Carbon Footprint eines Produkts (CFP) auf der Grundlage Internationaler Normen zur Ökobilanz (ISO 14040 und ISO 14044) zur Quantifizierung sowie zu Umweltkennzeichnungen und −deklarationen (ISO 14020, ISO 14024, ISO 14025) zur Kommunikation fest.
Anforderungen an sowie Leitlinien für die Quantifizierung und die Kommunikation des partiellen Carbon Footprint eines Produkts (partieller CFP) sind ebenfalls enthalten.
Die vorliegende Technische Spezifikation gilt für CFP-Studien und für verschiedene Optionen der CFP-Kommunikation, die auf den Ergebnissen solcher Studien basieren.
Erfolgt die Berichterstattung der Ergebnisse einer CFP-Studie entsprechend dieser Technischen Spezifikation, sind Verfahren aufgeführt, die sowohl Transparenz und Glaubwürdigkeit fördern als auch fundierte Entscheidungen ermöglichen.
Die vorliegende Technische Spezifikation ermöglicht darüber hinaus die Entwicklung von CFP-bezogenen Produktkategorieregeln (CFP-PKR) bzw. die Übernahme von Produktkategorieregeln (PKR), die in Übereinstimmung mit ISO 14025 entwickelt wurden und dieser Technischen Spezifikation entsprechen.
Diese Technische Spezifikation behandelt nur eine einzige Wirkungskategorie, nämlich den Klimawandel.
Die CO2-Verrechnung (en: offsetting) liegt nicht im Anwendungsbereich dieser Technischen Spezifikation.

L'ISO/TS 14067:2013 spécifie les principes, les exigences et les lignes directrices relatifs à la quantification et à la communication de l'empreinte carbone d'un produit (ECP), fondées sur les Normes internationales relatives à l'analyse du cycle de vie (ISO 14040 et ISO 14044) pour la quantification et relatives aux étiquettes et déclarations environnementales (ISO 14020, ISO 14024 et ISO 14025) pour la communication.
Des exigences et des lignes directrices concernant la quantification et la communication d'une empreinte carbone partielle d'un produit (ECP partielle) sont également fournies.
L'ISO/TS 14067:2013 s'applique aux études d'ECP et aux différentes options de communication des ECP fondées sur les résultats de ces études.
Lorsque les résultats d'une étude d'ECP sont rapportés conformément à la présente Spécification technique, des modes opératoires favorisant la transparence et la crédibilité et des modes opératoires permettant de faire des choix informés sont fournis.
L'ISO/TS 14067:2013 prévoit également l'élaboration de règles spécifiques des catégories de produits relatives à l'empreinte carbone des produits (PCR-ECP) ou l'adoption de règles spécifiques des catégories de produits (PCR) qui ont été élaborées conformément à l'ISO 14025 et qui sont compatibles avec la présente Spécification technique.
L'ISO/TS 14067:2013 ne concerne qu'une seule catégorie d'impact: le changement climatique.
La compensation n'entre pas dans le domaine d'application de l'ISO/TS 14067:2013.

CEN ISO/TS 14067 določa načela, zahteve in smernice za merjenje in sporočanje ogljičnega odtisa izdelka (CFP) na osnovi mednarodnih standardov o ocenjevanju življenjskega cikla (ISO 14040 in ISO 14044) za merjenje in o okoljskih označbah in deklaracijah (ISO 14020, ISO 14024 in ISO 14025) za sporočanje. Podane so tudi zahteve in smernice za merjenje in sporočanje delnega ogljičnega odtisa izdelka (delni CFP). Ta tehnična specifikacija velja za raziskave o ogljičnem odtisu izdelkov in različnih možnosti sporočanja ogljičnega odtisa izdelkov na osnovi rezultatov takšnih raziskav. Če so rezultati raziskave o ogljičnem odtisu izdelkov poročani v skladu s to tehnično specifikacijo, so na voljo postopki za podporo transparentnosti in kredibilnosti ter za sprejemanje utemeljenih odločitev. This Technical Specification (CEN/TS) was approved by CEN on 8 June 2014 for provisional application.
The period of validity of this CEN/TS is limited initially to three years. After two years the members of CEN will be requested to submit their
comments, particularly on the question whether the CEN/TS can be converted into a European Standard.
CEN members are required to announce the existence of this CEN/TS in the same way as for an EN and to make the CEN/TS available
promptly at national level in an appropriate form. It is permissible to keep conflicting national standards in force (in parallel to the CEN/TS)
until the final decision about the possible conversion of the CEN/TS into an EN is reached.
