Roller sports equipment - Kick scooters - Safety requirements and test methods
This document applies to kick scooters that can only be propelled by the muscular activity of a user with a body mass of more than 20 kg and less than 100 kg.
To reduce the risk of injuries to both the user and third parties during intended use this standard specifies safety requirements, test methods, marking, and information supplied by the manufacturer. Kick scooters for use by users of less than 20 kg do not belong to the scope of this document. They are toys.
It should be noted that there are two types of scooters for the weight group 20 kg to 50 kg – those classified as sports equipment for use on public roads and path ways (this European Standard) and those classified as toys for domestic use (according to EN 71-1).

Dieses Dokument gilt für Kick-Scooter, die nur durch Muskelkraft eines Benutzers mit einem Körpergewicht über 20 kg und unter 100 kg fortbewegt werden können.
Um bei bestimmungsgemäßem Gebrauch die Verletzungsgefahr für Dritte und für den Benutzer zu verringern, legt diese Norm sicherheitstechnische Anforderungen, Prüfverfahren, Kennzeichnung und Herstellerinformationen fest. Kick-Scooter für einen Gebrauch durch Benutzer unter 20 kg gehören nicht zum Anwendungsbereich dieses Dokuments. Sie sind Spielzeuge.
Es sollte berücksichtigt werden, dass in der Gewichtsklasse von 20 kg bis 50 kg zwei Typen von Kick-Scootern vorkommen — solche, die als Sportgeräte für die Nutzung auf öffentlichen Straßen und Wegen gelten (diese Europäische Norm) und solche, die als Spielzeuge für den Hausgebrauch klassifiziert sind (nach EN 71-1).

Le présent document s’applique aux trottinettes qui ne peuvent être propulsées que par l’activité musculaire d’un utilisateur d’un poids supérieur à 20 kg et inférieur à 100 kg.
Il spécifie les exigences de sécurité, les méthodes d’essai, les marquages et les informations fournies par le fabricant en vue de réduire les risques de blessures, pour les tiers et pour l’utilisateur, dans les conditions d’utilisation prévue. Les trottinettes destinées à des utilisateurs d’un poids inférieur à 20 kg ne relèvent pas du domaine d’application du présent document car il s’agit de jouets.
Il convient de noter qu’il existe deux types de trottinettes pour le groupe de poids compris entre 20 kg et 50 kg : à savoir celles classées comme équipement de sport destiné à être utilisé sur la voie publique (la présente Norme européenne) et celles classées comme jouets à usage domestique (selon l’EN 71-1).

Ta dokument se uporablja za skiroje, ki jih je mogoče poganjati izključno na podlagi mišične dejavnosti uporabnika s telesno težo, večjo od 20 kg in manjšo od 100 kg.
Določa varnostne zahteve, preskusne metode, označevanje in informacije, ki jih mora zagotoviti proizvajalec, za zmanjšanje tveganja poškodb tretjih oseb in uporabnika pri predvideni uporabi.
Skiroji za uporabo s strani uporabnikov z manj kot 20 kg ne spadajo na področje uporabe tega dokumenta. Štejejo se za igrače.
Opozoriti je treba, da obstajata dve vrsti skirojev za težo uporabnika od 20 kg do 50 kg – skiroji, ki so klasificirani kot športna oprema za uporabo na javnih cestah, javnih poteh ali pločniku (ta evropski standard), in skiroji, ki so klasificirani kot igrače za domačo uporabo (v skladu s standardom EN 71-1).
