This standard specifies methods of test for rigid locked socket and spigot joints using elastomeric sealing rings for plastics piping systems of glass-reinforced thermosetting plastics (GRP) for pressure and non-pressure applications. This standard is only applicable to the joint and covers methods of test to prove its design. This test procedure is applicable to joints for pipes and fittings of all nominal sizes.

Diese Norm legt Prüfverfahren für zugfeste Muffe- und Spitzende-Verbindungen mit elastomeren Dichtungen in Kunststoff-Rohrleitungssystemen aus duroplastischen glasfaserverstärkten Kunststoffen (GFK) fest, die als druckbeaufschlagte und drucklose Rohrleitungen angewendet werden. Diese Norm istnur auf Verbindungen anwendbar und beinhaltet Prüfverfahren für den Nachweis der Dimensionierung. Dieses Prüfverfahren ist auf Verbindungen für Rohre und Formstücke aller Nennweiten anwendbar.

Cette norme prescrit des méthodes d'essai pour les assemblages mâle-femelle verrouillés rigides à joints d'étanchéité en élastomère pour des systèmes de canalisations en plastique thermodurcissable renforcé (PRV) et ce, pour des applications avec et sans pression. Cette norme s'applique seulement à l'assemblage et couvre des méthodes d'essais destinées à confirmer sa conception. Cette procédure d'essai s'applique à des assemblages de tubes et raccords de toutes tailles nominales.
