This Standard defines the requirements for the manufacture of thingauge cold-formed steel elements, the execution of structures made from such elements (e.g. roofs, coverings, walls, floors, ceilings and purlins) under predominantly static loading conditions and corresponding requirements to documentation. It does cover products of construction class I and II according to EN 1993-1-3 used in structures

Diese Europäische Norm legt die Anforderungen an die Herstellung von dünnwandigen kaltgeformten Bauteilen aus Stahl, die Ausführung von Tragwerken aus derartigen Bauteilen (z. B. Dächer, Abdeckungen, Wände, Böden, Decken) unter vorrangig statischen Lastbedingungen und deren Dokumentation fest. Sie umfasst Produkte der Strukturklassen I und II nach EN 1993 1 3, die in Tragwerken verwendet werden.
Als dünnwandige Bauteile gelten an dieser Stelle profilierte Bleche, wie z. B. Trapez-, Well-, Kassetten- oder Linerprofile (siehe Bild 1) oder lineare Profilquerschnitte (siehe Bild 2), die durch Kaltumformen hergestellt wurden und höchstens 4 mm dick sind. In diesem Teil werden außerdem geschlossene Querschnitte mit einer Dicke von höchstens 3 mm, wie in EN 1993 1 3 definiert, behandelt.
Perforierte und mikroprofilierte Bleche werden in diesem Teil auch behandelt.
Für geschlossene Querschnitte (siehe Bild 2c) mit einer Dicke über 3 mm gelten die Ausführungs-bestimmungen nach EN 1090 2.
Geschweißte Querschnitte liegen außerhalb des Anwendungsbereiches dieses Teil und werden in EN 1090 2 behandelt.
Diese Norm umfasst außerdem Distanzkonstruktionen zwischen Außen- und Innenschale oder Ober- und Unterschale sowie Unterkonstruktionen für Dächer, Wände und Decken, die aus kaltgeformten Profilblechen hergestellt wurden sowie die Verbindungen und Befestigungen der zuvor aufgeführten Bauteile, sofern sie zur Lastübertragung beitragen.
Diese Norm befasst sich mit Stahlprofilblechen für Verbunddecken. Diese Norm befasst sich nicht mit Verbundkonstruktionen, bei denen die Wechselwirkung unterschiedlicher Werkstoffe integraler Bestandteil des Tragwerksverhaltens ist, wie z. B. Verbundplatten und Verbunddecken.
ANMERKUNG 1   Konstruktionen, die in dieser Norm behandelt werden, können beispielsweise sein:
-   einschalige- oder mehrschalige Dächer, wobei die tragende Konstruktion (Unterschale) sowie die tatsächliche Dachdeckung (Oberschale) oder beide aus dünnwandigen tragenden Bauteilen bestehen;
-   einschalige- oder mehrschalige Wände, wobei die tragende Konstruktion (Innenschale) sowie die tatsächliche Verkleidung (Außenschale) oder beide aus dünnwandigen tragenden Bauteilen bestehen; oder
-   Beläge, für die dünnwandige Bauteile als dauerhafte Schalung für Betondecken oder Decken mit anderen Werkstoffen verwendet werden.

La présente norme définit les exigences relatives à la fabrication d’éléments en acier à parois minces, formés à froid, à l’exécution des structures constituées de ces éléments (par exemple, toitures, couvertures, parois, planchers, plafonds), soumises à des charges essentiellement statiques, ainsi qu’à la documentation afférente. Elle concerne les produits répondant aux classes de construction I et II selon l’EN 1993 1 3, utilisés en structures.
Par éléments structurels à parois minces, on entend des plaques nervurées, telles que des profils à nervures trapézoïdales, sinusoïdales ou des plateaux (Figure 1), ou bien des sections transversales de profilés (Figure 2), qui sont fabriqués par formage à froid et dont l’épaisseur ne dépasse pas 4 mm. Les profilés fermés reconstitués d’une épaisseur ne dépassant pas 3 mm, tels que définis dans l’EN 1993 1 3, sont également traités dans la présente partie. Les plaques nervurées perforées et micro-nervurées sont également couvertes par la présente partie.
Concernant les profilés fermés reconstitués (Figure 2c) d’une épaisseur supérieure à 3 mm, les dispositions d’exécution de l’EN 1090 2 s’appliquent.
Les profilés soudés sont exclus de la présente partie et sont traités dans l’EN 1090 2.
La présente norme s’applique également aux écarteurs entre les peaux extérieure et intérieure ou supérieure et inférieure, aux profilés porteurs des toitures, murs et plafonds constitués de plaques nervurées formées à froid, ainsi qu’aux assemblages et fixations des éléments susmentionnés, dans la mesure où ils participent à la transmission des efforts.
Les plaques nervurées en acier destinées aux planchers mixtes sont traitées dans la présente norme. Les éléments structurels mixtes dans lesquels l’interaction entre des matériaux différents fait partie intégrante du comportement structural, tels que les panneaux de type sandwich et les planchers mixtes, ne sont pas couverts par la présent norme.
NOTE 1   Les structures traitées dans la présente norme peuvent être, par exemple :
-   des toitures simple peau ou à peaux multiples, dont la structure porteuse (peau inférieure) ou la couverture de toiture à proprement parler (peau supérieure), ou les deux, sont constituées d’éléments structurels à parois minces ;
-   des parois simple peau ou à peaux multiples, dont la structure porteuse (peau intérieure) ou le bardage à proprement parler (peau extérieure), ou les deux, sont constitués d’éléments structurels à parois minces ; ou
-   des platelages pour lesquels des éléments structurels à parois minces sont utilisés comme coffrage permanent des planchers en béton ou des planchers constitués d’autres matériaux.

Ta standard opredeljuje zahteve za izdelavo tankih, hladno oblikovanih jeklenih elementov ter izvedbo konstrukcij, izdelanih iz takšnih elementov (npr. strehe, obloge, stene, tla, stropi in strešne letve), pri pretežno statičnih obremenitvah in ustreznih zahtevah za dokumentacijo. Obravnava gradbene proizvode razreda I in II v skladu s standardom EN 1993-1-3, ki se uporabljajo v konstrukcijah.

1 Scope
This European Standard defines the requirements for the manufacture of thin-gauge cold-formed steel
elements, the execution of structures made from such elements (e.g. roofs, coverings, walls, floors, ceilings)
under predominately static loading conditions and their documentation. It does cover products of structural
classes I and II according to EN 1993-1-3 used in structures.
Thin-gauge structural elements are understood here to mean profiled sheeting, such as trapezoidal,
sinusoidal, liner trays or cassette profiles (Figure 1) or linear profile cross sections, (Figure 2), that are
produced by cold forming and have thicknesses not greater than 4 mm. Closed build-up sections of
thicknesses not greater than 3 mm, as defined in EN 1993-1-3 are also covered by this part. Perforated and
micro profiled sheeting are also covered by this part.
For closed build-up sections (Figure 2c) of thicknesses greater than 3 mm the execution provisions of
EN 1090-2 apply.
Welded sections are excluded from this part and are covered by EN 1090-2.
This standard also covers spacer constructions between the outer and inner or upper and lower skins as well
as supporting members for roofs, walls and ceilings made from cold-formed profiled sheeting and the
connections and attachments of the afore mentioned elements as long as they are involved in load transfer.
Steel profiled sheeting for composite floors are covered by this standard. Composite structural elements
where the interaction between dissimilar materials are an integral part of the structural behaviour such as
sandwich panels and composite floors are not covered by this standard.
NOTE 1 The structures covered in this standard can be for example
 single- or multi-skin roofs, whereby the load-bearing structure (lower skin) as well as the actual roof covering (upper
skin) or both consist of thin-gauge structural elements,
 single- or multi-skin walls whereby the load-bearing structure (inner skin) as well as the actual cladding (outer skin) or
both consist of thin-gauge structural elements, or
 decking for which thin-gauge structural elements are used as permanent formwork for concrete floors.or floors with
other materials.
