This European Standard, together with EN 13476 2 and EN 13476 3, specifies the definitions and general requirements for pipes, fittings and the system based on unplasticized poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC-U), polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene (PE) structured-wall piping systems that are to be used for non-pressure underground drainage and sewerage systems.
This standard is applicable to:
a) structured-wall pipes and fittings, which are to be used buried in the ground outside a building structure only; reflected by the marking of products by "U";
b) structured-wall pipes and fittings, which are to be used buried in ground both outside (application area code "U") and within a building structure (application area code "D"); reflected in the marking of products by "UD".
In conjunction with EN 13476 2 and EN 13476 3, it is applicable to structured-wall pipes and fittings with or without an integral socket with elastomeric ring seal joints, as well as welded and fused joints.
This part specifies general aspects and gives guidance concerning a national selection of requirement levels and classes where part 2 and part 3 of this standard provide options.
EN 13476 2 and EN 13476 3 specify material characteristics, dimensions and tolerances, test methods, test parameters and requirements for pipes with smooth internal and external surfaces, Type A, and pipes with smooth internal and profiled external surfaces, Type B.
This standard, together with EN 13476 2 and EN 13476 3, covers a range of pipe and fitting sizes, materials, pipe constructions, stiffness classes and tolerance classes and offers recommendations concerning colours.
NOTE 1 It is the responsibility of the purchaser or specifier to make the appropriate selections from these aspects, taking into account their particular requirements and any relevant national regulations and installation practices or codes.
NOTE 2 Pipes, fittings and other components conforming to any plastic product standards referred to in Clause 2 can be used with pipes and fittings conforming to this standard, when they conform to the requirements for joint dimensions given in part 2 and part 3 of this standard and to the performance requirements given in Clause 9.
Kunststoff-Rohrleitungssysteme für erdverlegte drucklose Abwasserkanäle und -leitungen - Rohrleitungssysteme mit profilierter Wandung aus weichmacherfreiem Polyvinylchlorid (PVC-U), Polypropylen (PP) und Polyethylen (PE) - Teil 1: Allgemeine Anforderungen und Leistungsmerkmale
Diese Europäische Norm legt gemeinsam mit EN 13476-2 und EN 13476-3 Definitionen und allgemeine Anforderungen an Rohre, Formstücke und das Rohrleitungssystem aus weichmacherfreiem Polyvinylchlorid (PVC-U), Polypropylen (PP) und Polyethylen (PE) mit profilierter Wandung fest, die für erdverlegte, drucklos betriebene Abwasserkanäle und leitungen verwendet werden.
Diese Norm gilt für:
a) Rohre und Formstücke mit profilierter Wandung, die ausschließlich für erdverlegte Anwendungen außerhalb einer Gebäudestruktur vorgesehen sind; gekennzeichnet mit Anwendungs¬kennzeichen "U";
b) Rohre und Formstücke mit profilierter Wandung, die sowohl für erdverlegte Anwendungen außerhalb der Gebäudestruktur (Anwendungskennzeichen "U") als auch innerhalb einer Gebäudestruktur (Anwendungskennzeichen "D") vorgesehen sind; gekennzeichnet mit Anwendungs¬kennzeichen "UD".
Gemeinsam mit EN 13476-2 und EN 13476-3 gilt dieser Teil für Rohre und Formstücke mit profilierter Wandung sowohl mit glatten Enden als auch mit angeformter Muffe mit elastomeren Dichtringverbindungen bzw. Verbindung durch Heizelement-Stumpf-, Extrusions- oder Heizwendelschweißen.
Dieser Teil legt allgemeine Aspekte fest und enthält Empfehlungen zur Auswahl nationaler Anforderungsstufen und -klassen, wofür Teil 2 und Teil 3 dieser Norm die Optionen enthält.
EN 13476-2 und EN 13476-3 legen Werkstoffeigenschaften, Maße und Toleranzen, Prüfverfahren, Prüfparameter und Anforderungen für Rohre mit glatten Innen- und Außenflächen, Typ A, sowie Rohre mit glatten Innen- und profilierten Außenflächen, Typ B, fest.
Diese Norm enthält, gemeinsam mit EN 13476-2 und EN 13476-3, Festlegungen für Maße von Rohren und Formstücken, für Werkstoffe, Rohrkonstruktionen, für Steifigkeitsklassen und Toleranzklassen und gibt Empfehlungen für die Einfärbung.
ANMERKUNG 1 Der Käufer bzw. Auftraggeber ist unter Berücksichtigung der eigenen Anforderungen sowie der geltenden nationalen Festlegungen und Verlegepraktiken oder -vorschriften für die entsprechende Auswahl dieser Kriterien verantwortlich.
ANMERKUNG 2 Rohre, Formstücke und andere Rohrleitungsteile, die einer der in Abschnitt 2 aufgeführten Anwendungs¬normen für Kunststoff-Rohrleitungssysteme entsprechen, können mit Rohren und Formstücken nach dieser Norm verwendet werden, sofern sie die Anforderungen an die Anschlussmaße nach Teil 2 und Teil 3 dieser Norm und die Anforderungen an die Gebrauchstauglichkeit nach Abschnitt 9 erfüllen.

La présente Norme européenne, conjointement à l'EN 13476 2 et l'EN 13476 3, spécifie les définitions et les exigences générales pour les tubes, les raccords et le système pour des systèmes de canalisations à parois structurées en poly(chlorure de vinyle) non plastifié (PVC U), polypropylène (PP) et polyéthylène (PE), destinés à être utilisés dans des systèmes de branchements et de collecteurs d’assainissement enterrés sans pression.
La présente norme s’applique aux :
a) tubes et raccords à parois structurées, destinés à être utilisés enterrés à l’extérieur du bâtiment uniquement ; ce qui est reflété au niveau du marquage des produits par « U » ;
b) tubes et raccords à parois structurées, destinés à être utilisés enterrés, aussi bien à l’extérieur (code de la zone d’application « U ») qu’à l’intérieur de la structure des bâtiments (code de la zone d’application « D ») ; ce qui est reflété au niveau du marquage des produits par « UD ».
Conjointement à l'EN 13476 2 et l'EN 13476 3, elle s’applique aux tubes et raccords à parois structurées avec ou sans emboîture intégrée avec des assemblages à bague d’étanchéité en élastomère ainsi que des assemblages soudés et les assemblages obtenus par fusion.
La présente partie spécifie des aspects généraux et fournit des préconisations concernant une sélection nationale des niveaux et classes d’exigences alors que la partie 2 et la partie 3 de la présente norme prévoient des options.
L'EN 13476 2 et l'EN 13476 3 spécifient les caractéristiques de la matière, les dimensions et les tolérances, les méthodes d’essai, les paramètres d’essai et les exigences applicables aux tubes avec une surface interne et une surface externe lisses, de Type A, et aux tubes avec une surface interne lisse et une surface externe profilée, de Type B.
La présente norme, conjointement à l'EN 13476 2 et l'EN 13476 3, couvre une gamme de dimensions de tubes et de raccords, de matières, de constructions de tube, de classes de rigidité et de classes de tolérance et donne des recommandations concernant les couleurs.
NOTE 1 Il est de la responsabilité de l’acheteur ou du concepteur du réseau de faire les sélections appropriées à partir de ces aspects, en tenant compte des exigences particulières et des règles nationales et des pratiques ou codes de pose pertinents.
NOTE 2 Les tubes, raccords et autres composants conformes aux normes de produits plastiques indiquées à l’Article 2 peuvent être utilisés avec des tubes et des raccords conformes à la présente norme, lorsqu’ils satisfont aux exigences dimensionnelles des assemblages indiquées dans la partie 2 et la partie 3 de la présente norme et aux exigences de performance indiquées à l’Article 9.

Ta evropski standard skupaj s standardoma EN 13476 2 in EN 13476 3 določa definicije in splošne zahteve za cevi, fitinge in sistem, ki temelji na nemehčanih cevnih sistemih iz polivinilklorida (PVC-U), polipropilena (PP) ter polietilena (PE) v strukturiranih stenah, ki se uporabljajo za podzemne sisteme za odvodnjavanje in kanalizacijo, ki delujejo brez tlaka.
Ta standard se uporablja za:

Standarda EN 13476 2 in EN 13476 3 določata značilnosti materiala, mere in tolerance, preskusne metode, preskusne parametre ter zahteve za cevi z gladkimi notranjimi in zunanjimi površinami (tip A) ter cevi z gladkimi notranjimi in profiliranimi zunanjimi površinami (tip B).
