ISO 12944-7:2017 deals with the execution and supervision of paint work on steel structures in the workshop or on site.
ISO 12944-7:2017 does not apply to
- the preparation of surfaces to be painted (see ISO 12944‑4) and the supervision of such work,
- the application of metallic coatings, and
- pre-treatment methods, such as phosphating and chromating, and paint application methods, such as dipping, powder coating or coil coating.

Dieser Teil von ISO 12944 beschreibt die Ausführung und Überwachung von Beschichtungsarbeiten an Stahl¬¬bauten im Werk oder auf der Baustelle.
Dieser Teil von ISO 12944 gilt nicht für:
— die Oberflächenvorbereitung vor dem Beschichten (siehe ISO 12944-4) und ihre Überwachung;
— das Aufbringen von Überzügen;
— Vorbehandlungsverfahren wie z. B. Phosphatieren und Chromatieren, oder Verfahren zum Beschichten wie z. B. Tauchen, Pulverbeschichten oder Bandbeschichten.

L'ISO 12944-7 :2017 traite de l'exécution et de la surveillance des travaux de peinture des structures en acier, en atelier ou sur site.
L'ISO 12944-7 :2017 ne s'applique pas:
- à la préparation des surfaces à peindre (voir l'ISO 12944‑4) ni à la surveillance de ladite préparation;
- à l'application de revêtements métalliques; et
- aux méthodes de prétraitement telles que la phosphatation, la chromatation, et aux méthodes particulières d'application de peinture telles que l'application au trempé, les revêtements à base de poudre ou de bandes.

This document (EN ISO 12944-7:2017) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 35 "Paints
and varnishes" in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 139 “Paints and varnishes” the
secretariat of which is held by DIN.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an
identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by June 2018, and conflicting national standards shall be
withdrawn at the latest by June 2018.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of
patent rights. CEN shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights.
This document supersedes EN ISO 12944-7:1998.
